Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on July 29, 2008, at 2:00 p.m., at 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600-East Tower, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Gaming Commission will hold a public hearing on a new proposed rule to allow junket operators and junketeers to conduct business with Indiana casinos through a junketeer registration system.

The Indiana Gaming Commission has the authority to promulgate rules in accordance with the requirements of IC 4-33 and IC 4-35. The proposed rule streamlines the registration process for junket operators and junketeers. The proposed rule also provides for a registration fee and an annual fee and requires that junket operators and junketeers maintain strict suitability standards. The proposed rule does not impose costs on the state or upon small businesses, as defined in IC 4-22-2.1-4.

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Gaming Commission, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600-East Tower and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
