NATURAL RESOURCES COMMISSION

Information Bulletin #54
(First Amendment)
Subject: Hunting, Fishing, and Trapping License Fees
July 1, 2008

1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to provide a compilation of the fees as approved by the Natural Resources Commission for hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses issued by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Minimum fees for hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses are established at IC 14-22-12-1(a); however, the Natural Resources Commission is authorized to set fees above the minimum in IC 14-22-12-1(b). License fees are established to be comparable to surrounding states and provide the DNR with the funds necessary to continue the existing programs that provide hunting, fishing, and trapping-related opportunities throughout the state. This policy also provides the starting and ending date for annual hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses that are issued in accordance with state statute (IC 14-22-11-4).
