Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on July 25, 2008, at 1:00 p.m., at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W064, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Board of Pharmacy will hold a public hearing on proposed rules concerning the establishment of qualifications, protocols, and record keeping requirements for a pharmacist to administer immunizations under IC 25-26-13-31.2.

This proposed rule adds 856 IAC 4 to establish standards for pharmacists administering immunizations for influenza under a physician's approved protocol as is permitted by IC 25-26-13-31.2. Indiana's General Assembly mandated the Indiana Board of Pharmacy to adopt rules under IC 4-22-2 concerning the qualifications, protocols, and record keeping requirements for a pharmacist to administer immunizations.

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W072 and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
