Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under
IC 4-22-2-23, the Indiana State Department of Health intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:
OVERVIEW: Amends
410 IAC 29-1 through
410 IAC 29-4 to add and update current definitions, update case management requirements for local health departments, add civil penalty provisions against labs that fail to comply with statutory requirements, and update prevention and remediation requirements for local health departments. Adds rules to
410 IAC 29 to provide protections for the public against consumer products that contain or may contain lead, establish requirements for retail establishments to offer information and lead test kits to consumers about lead-based paint hazards, establish minimum criteria for training programs for retail employees, and establish fees as necessary to accomplish these purposes. Effective 30 days after filing with the Publisher. Questions or written comments concerning the proposed rule may be directed to the Small Business Regulatory Coordinator for this rule.
