Notice of Public Hearing
Under
IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on April 28, 2008, at 1:00 p.m., at the Indiana Gaming Commission, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600-East Tower, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Gaming Commission will hold a public hearing on new proposed rules regarding the regulation, oversight, and enforcement of minority and women owned business utilization standards.
The Indiana Gaming Commission has the authority to promulgate rules in accordance with the requirements of
IC 4-33. The proposed rule amends reporting requirements for regulated entities concerning utilization of goods and services by regulated entities from minority and women owned business enterprises. The proposed rule does not impose costs on the State or upon small businesses, as defined in
IC 4-22-2.1-4. The rule allows regulated entities to split expenditures between established goals for either minority or women owned business entities. The rule also temporarily allows regulated entities credit toward attainment of established goals for purchases to out-of-state minority and women owned business entities whose Indiana certification has expired, provided the minority or women owned business entity maintains certification in its home state.
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Gaming Commission, 101 West Washington Street, Suite 1600-East Tower and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
