TITLE 840 INDIANA STATE BOARD OF HEALTH FACILITY ADMINISTRATORS

Notice of Public Hearing
LSA Document #07-825

Notice of Public Hearing

Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on April 10, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., at the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, Indiana Government Center-South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W064, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana State Board of Health Facility Administrators will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments to bring the continuing education rules into conformity with IC 25-1-4, to allow service on the Indiana state board of health facility administrators to count as continuing education credit, to address continuing education audits and actions regarding noncompliance with the continuing education requirements, and to add continuing education requirements for renewal of licensure to establish procedures for a licensee to renew inactive and to reactivate an inactive license.
The Indiana State Board of Health Facility Administrators has the authority to promulgate rules under Indiana Code 25-19-1-8 to establish and approve requirements for continuing professional education for licensure renewal. This proposed rule revises the requirements for continuing education sponsors and the continuing education audits to bring the Board's rules into compliance with IC 25-1-4. The proposed rule also establishes an inactive status for licensees and establishes the procedures to renew inactive and to reactivate an inactive license. The proposed rule will provide licensees with another option if the licensee is unable to meet the continuing education requirements or if the licensee wants to maintain a current license but not practice in the profession. This rule will have no costs on the regulated entities or small businesses.
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Government Center-South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W072 and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
