Notice of Public Hearing
Under
IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on April 18, 2008, at 10:15 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center-South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W064, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Board of Accountancy will hold a public hearing on a proposed rule to repeal the rule concerning substantial equivalency.
HEA 1312-2007 deleted the requirement under
IC 25-2.1-4-10(a) that required an individual whose primary place of business is not Indiana to notify the board of the individual's intent to conduct business in Indiana.
872 IAC 1-5-1 set forth the requirements for the notification. Since notification is no longer required, the rule is unnecessary and contradicts the current state statute. Upon review, the Indiana Board of Accountancy has determined that this rule has no fiscal impact on small businesses.
Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Government Center-South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W072 and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
