Economic Impact Statement
LSA Document #07-723

IC 4-22-2.1-5 Statement Concerning Rules Affecting Small Businesses
This proposed rule amends 844 IAC 4-4.5-12 to increase from seven to 10 the number of years allowed in which to pass all three steps of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). Decreases the number of attempts an applicant may have to pass the USMLE from five to three for each step. Upon review, the Medical Licensing Board of Indiana has determined that this rule has no fiscal impact on small businesses. The rule does not impose requirements, restrictions, or sanctions on small businesses and has no fiscal impact, direct or collateral, on small businesses or the small business community.
