Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Indiana State Department of Health intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends 410 IAC 1-2.3 to add and modify definitions, reporting requirements, dangerous communicable diseases, disease intervention measures, general and specific control measures, and documents incorporated by reference. Deletes some definitions and dangerous communicable diseases. Adds and modifies control measures for schools, daycare facilities, preschools, health care facilities, and food handlers. Amends reporting requirements for physicians, hospital administrators, and laboratories. Written comments may be submitted to the Indiana State Department of Health, Public Health Surveillance and Preparedness Commission, 2 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204. Statutory authority: IC 16-19-3-4; IC 16-19-3-5; IC 16-41-2-1; IC 16-41-3-1; IC 16-41-12-12; IC 16-41-12-17.
