Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on December 14, 2007, at 8:30 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center-South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room 5, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission will hold a public hearing on the proposed adoption of 675 IAC 18-1.5 to adopt the 2007 Indiana Mechanical Code.

Public comments are invited and may be directed to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, Code Services Section, Attn: Mara Snyder, Indiana Government Center-South, 302 West Washington Street, Room E243, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204.

The Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission has authority to adopt this rule under IC 22-13-2. The Commission is directed by the Indiana General Assembly, in IC 22-13-2-2, to adopt a statewide code of fire safety and building laws. The proposed rule will provide access to newer fire safety and building technologies and more economic options for the construction of regulated structures.
