Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on September 10, 2007, at 10:00 a.m., at the Indiana Government Center-South, 402 West Washington Street, Conference Center Room A, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Department of Administration will hold a public hearing on amendments to proposed rule 25 IAC 6, which governs Executive Branch Lobbyist registration, to include, but may not be limited to, establishing an initial $50 registration fee, establishing a $50 annual report filing fee, a late fee for filing, an annual registration requirement, and add an explicit exception for licenses and permits, expand the exception relating to gathering bid and procurement information, add "date of contact" as reportable information, further define "compensation", and accurately reflect ethics rules for classes of persons prohibited from lobbying.

The registration, filing, and late fees imposed by these amendments were expressly authorized in IC 4-2-8-7 (P.L.89-2006).

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Government Center-South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W479 and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
