Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on September 17, 2007, at 1:00 p.m., at the Indiana Government Center-South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W064, Indianapolis, Indiana, the State Board of Cosmetology Examiners will hold a public hearing on proposed amendments concerning the hours a cosmetology student must be in session in order to graduate from cosmetology school and to provide for a hardship waiver.

The State Board of Cosmetology Examiners has the authority to promulgate rules establishing the educational requirements. This proposed rule will have no increased costs to entities. The proposed rules do not impose any new reporting, record keeping, or other administrative costs on small businesses.

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, Indiana Government Center-South, 402 West Washington Street, Room W072 and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana and are open for public inspection.
