Under IC 4-22-2-24, notice is hereby given that on June 6, 2007, at 2:00 p.m., EDT, in Conference Rooms D and E at the Indiana Department of Transportation Traffic Management Building, 8500 East 21^st Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, the Indiana Emergency Medical Services Commission will hold a public hearing on LSA Document #06-11, proposed amendments to 836 IAC 1, 836 IAC 2, 826 IAC 3, and 836 IAC 4.

The amendments are for the purpose of clarifying and augmenting the Commission's existing rules. This clarification and augmentation will create a new requirement and regulatory burden on one regulated entity in the form of a requirement that certified advanced life support training institutions that conduct paramedic training programs shall obtain national accreditation of the program from a Commission-approved accrediting organization. There may also be some minimal increase in cost as a result of the required sanitation standards. In addition, the proposed amendments may result in minimal increases in administrative costs for all regulated entities as a result of additional record keeping requirements.

Copies of these rules are now on file at the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, Emergency Medical Services Section, Indiana Government Center-South,302 West Washington Street, Room E241 and Legislative Services Agency, One North Capitol, Suite 325, Indianapolis, Indiana, and are open for public inspection.
