Notice of Intent to Adopt a Rule

Under IC 4-22-2-23, the Office of the Secretary of Family and Social Services intends to adopt a rule concerning the following:

OVERVIEW: Amends Medicaid reimbursement rules in Title 405 to reduce rates paid to physicians, dentists, limited license practitioners, nonphysician practitioners, and hospitals (inpatient and outpatient) by 5% for State Fiscal Years 2008-2009; freezes existing rates paid to home health agencies, nursing facilities, and intermediate care facilities for the mentally retarded. No state owned and operated facility will be affected by this rule. Statutory authority: IC 12-8-6-5; IC 12-15-1-10; IC 12-15-21-2; IC 12-15-21-3.
