It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of State Representative Dean Mock. Dean will be missed by many, including his Indiana House of Representatives family.
Dean was a tireless public servant for his community of northern Indiana and was a dedicated legislator while serving the state of Indiana.
Dean always provided wisdom to leadership in the Indiana House, was always helpful to his colleagues, and was always pleasant to be in the company of for many reasons, including his love of music.
Dean Mock represented all that is good about public service; integrity, honesty, and a bipartisan spirit of cooperation to always move Indiana forward and to serve his constituents to the best of his ability.
Note:
Former State Representative Dean R. Mock served House District 48 (Elkhart and surrounding areas) from 1976 to 1986 and from 1988 until his retirement in 2002. Representative Mock served on the Local Government, Public Policy, and Ethics & Veterans Affairs Committees and served as Ranking Minority Member on the Roads & Transportation Committee. In his private life, Representative Mock was a small business owner and served on the State Board of TV-Radio Service Examiners. He was also a former President of the Indiana Electronic Service Association and was a member of the American Federation of Musicians.
