Cindy Kirchhofer is State Representative for House District 89, which lies in the Eastern/Southeastern portion of central Marion County and includes parts of Warren, Franklin and Perry Townships.
The 118th General Assembly will mark Rep. Kirchhofer’s second term as representative, but she already has an established record of public service. She has served two terms as Chairperson of the Perry Township Government Board and Vice President of the Beech Grove Redevelopment Commission. She has also served on the Indiana Paralegal Association Board of Directors and the Marion County Citizens Police Complaint Board.
Rep. Kirchhofer received her Paralegal Certificate from IUPUI. She is now a student at IUPUI working on a BS in Health Administration.
Her father is a veteran of the Korean War and her grandfather is a veteran of World War II. Additionally, many of her family members have served in the United States Army.
Rep. Kirchhofer has one daughter, who received her Undergraduate Degree from Purdue in Psychology and Law and Society with a minor in Anthropology. She obtained her Master’s Degree from IU School of Social Work.
Rep. Kirchhofer consistently works on behalf of every part of her district, and in 2012 was named Farm Bureau's Marion County Legislator of the Year.
