Indiana State Representative Dick Dodge was elected to be a representative for House District 51 on May 27, 2004. He is currently serving as the vice-chairman of the Natural Resources Committee and a member of the Environmental Affairs, Veterans Affairs and Public Safety and Public Health committees.
Before becoming a state representative, Dodge served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1954. As well as serving his country, Dodge served Steuben County in a variety of roles from County Commissioner to a Township Trustee. As a representative, Dodge is working hard to serve DeKalb and Steuben Counties and help the state of Indiana.
Native to Pleasant Lake, Dodge graduated from Pleasant Lake High School and went on to attend Purdue University and Ferris State College. Rep. Dodge and his wife, Joann, have five children and eight grandchildren. Currently, Dodge performs consulting work for heating and air conditioning companies and previously owned and operated a heating and air conditioning business for 36 years.
