State Representative Alan Morrison has lived and worked in Vigo County for the past twelve years at one of the pre-eminent engineering schools in the nation, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, as an Assistant Director for Recreational Facilities. Now, Rep. Morrison is the school’s Special Projects Gift Officer where he is responsible for striving to achieve the institute’s goals in the area of annual and major gift fundraising related to special projects.
Prior to working at Rose, he was a corporate sales account executive for a minor league hockey team in Flint, Michigan, the Flint Generals. His duties included corporate sales, marketing, event management and community relations.
Rep. Morrison is married to Cinda, and has two children, Katelyn and Derek. He received his B.S. in Sports Management from Slippery Rock University and his M.A. in Sports Management from Indiana State University.
As a newly-elected legislator, he represents House District 42 which includes all of Vermillion County and portions of Clay, Fountain, Parke, Vigo and Warren counties. Over the next two years, he has been selected to serve as a member of the Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resources and Utilities and Energy committees.
