State Representative L. Jack Lutz was first elected to the Indiana House of Representatives in 1991. He currently represents House District 35, which includes portions of Delaware, Hamilton, Madison and Tipton Counties. The district includes the communities of Albany, Alexandria, Arcadia, Atlanta, Cicero, Daleville, Eaton, Elwood, Gaston, Summitville, Tipton, Yorktown and small portions of both Anderson and Muncie.

Along with being a proud father and grandfather, Rep. Lutz is a lifelong resident of House District 35 and has been extremely active in the community. He served as a Board Member for the Madison County Senior Center, and Board President. Also, he has served as a Board Member for the Madison County Diabetes Association, the Mayor's Committee on Community Awareness, the Madison County Environmental Board and the Administrative Board of the First United Methodist Church.

Rep. Lutz has represented East-Central Indiana, as well as the entire state of Indiana, through his membership of the Noon Exchange Club, serving as the Club Chairman, Club President, Board of Directors, and President of the Indiana-Kentucky District Exchange Club. He has also served on the National Exchange Club for four years, along with serving as a member of the Trust Board for the prevention of child abuse.

Within state office, Rep. Lutz has been a strong advocate for restructuring Indiana's current tax system. Through his dedicated leadership and consensus-building, he has helped shift discussions toward tax restructuring, as well as promoting legislation that has a direct, positive effect on East-Central Indiana.

For his efforts and lifelong service to the community, Rep. Lutz has received numerous awards, including Anderson's Man of the Year (1989), National Freshman Legislator of the Year (1992) and the Small Business Champion by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce (1999), among others.
