State Representative Rich McClain, has helped to encourage innovative initiatives and spur economic development in House District 24. As a veteran legislator, Rep. McClain was instrumental in funding the state's more than $1.8 billion transportation deficit to make the "Hoosier Heartland Corridor" a reality. In addition, Rep. McClain was instrumental in assisting with the development of numerous ethanol and biodiesel production plants in Indiana. This initiative will use Indiana commodities, which will benefit the agriculture industry throughout the entire state. Using Hoosier ingenuity to produce an alternative to fossil fuels at the pump will help reduce Indiana's reliance on foreign oil. Rep. McClain and his wife, Barrie, a teacher at Pioneer Jr.-Sr. High School, have twin sons and three grandchildren.
