State Representative Tom Dermody and his wife Jackie live in La Porte with their two young children, Katie and Ben. Elected to the state legislature in 2006, Rep. Dermody owns and manages a small business.

Rep. Dermody serves as a board member for the La Porte YMCA and the Salvation Army. In addition, he was the Past President and Vice President and former member of the La Porte Community School Corporation.
