Representative Rick Niemeyer is a lifelong resident of Lake County and a dedicated Hoosier. For 23 years, he has served as the Township Trustee and Assessor in West Creek Township in Lake County. He also served as the Lake County Councilman from the 7th District and Chairman of the Lake County Solid Waste Board.

In addition to those positions, Rep. Niemeyer has been on the Lake County Solid Waste Board, the Lake County Planning Commission, the Lake County Drainage Board Advisory Committee and the Tri-Creek Ambulance Service Agency.

Rep. Niemeyer and his wife Cindy have been married for 33 years. They are members of the St. John United Church of Christ and are members of several local clubs and organizations.
