Rep. Scott ReskeA message from Committee Chairman Scott Reske

“The vast and rapid advances made possible by the introduction and adoption of new technologies has made obvious and profound changes in our daily lives.

“Most of these changes have been very positive, even if they have entailed a tremendous amount of adjustment and learning on the part of the average citizen. Nevertheless, it is the duty of lawmakers to ensure that every citizen has an opportunity to share in the progress and productivity made possible by new and emerging technologies.

“Indeed, it is a tremendous challenge for deliberative bodies such as Congress and the Indiana General Assembly to develop and enact new laws in a timely fashion in response to new technological opportunities.

“Indiana is making headway in its efforts to bring enhanced technology to the forefront of major economic initiatives and the work of the Indiana House Technology, Research, & Development Committee will continue to support legislation that further enhances our position in this regard.”
