“The fundamental foundation of our democracy is fair and accurate elections.
“My goal as the chair of the Committee on Elections & Apportionment is to make voting as convenient as possible for Indiana citizens and to ensure every eligible voter's vote is counted. No election is ever perfect, but improvements can be made to ensure voters are not disenfranchised because of technicalities in the law or malfunctioning equipment.
“The General Assembly must do all it can to preserve confidence in our electoral process.”
