SENATE RESOLUTION


MADAM PRESIDENT:

    I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

    A SENATE RESOLUTION urging the legislative council to assign to the Select Joint Commission on Medicaid Oversight the issue of Medicaid managed care prescription drug programs.

    Whereas, The cost of prescription drugs has become increasingly difficult for many Hoosiers to afford; and

    Whereas, It is necessary to study the need to require that a managed care provider's contract or agreement under the Medicaid program must include a prescription drug program: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:


    SECTION 1. That the legislative council is urged to assign to the Select Joint Commission on Medicaid Oversight the issue of Medicaid managed care prescription drug programs.
    SECTION 2. That the commission shall operate under the direction of the legislative council and issue a final report when directed to do so by the council.
