A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning

SECTION 1. IC 21-41-2-4 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE
AS A NEW
SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY
1, 2009]: Sec. 4. (a) Each state educational institution shall provide
to all entering undergraduate students during orientation:
(1) educational materials relating to credit cards and personal
debt management; and
(2) new student informational sessions or seminars relating to

by nonprofit entities.
(c) The commission for higher education shall assist each
educational institution in identifying appropriate curricula and
materials for use under this section.
