A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION to honor the Falcons of
Perry Meridian Girls Basketball Team and the Perry Meridian
Boys Basketball Team.

Whereas, this is the first appearance by the Perry
Meridian Girls Basketball team in the State Finals;
Whereas, the Falcons finished their regular season with a
16-4 record. They finished in a first place tie with Pike and
Bloomington North for the Conference Indiana
Championship;
Whereas, the Falcon Girls Basketball Team received
many honors. Laura Gaybrick was named the ISHAA Class
4A Mental Attitude Award winner as well as being named to
the Indiana All-Star Team. Christina Cunningham was
named to the Indiana Junior All-Star Team;
Whereas, the Perry Meridian Boys Basketball Team had
a very successful season as they finished with a 22-5 record;
Whereas, the Falcon Boys Basketball team captured the Sectional Championship and finished runner-up in the
Marion County Tournament;
Whereas, the Falcon Boys Basketball team competed in
the prestigious Hall of Fame Classic in New Castle, placing
third in that tournament;
Whereas, Senior Austin Montgomery was named to the
All Tournament Team and the Hoosier Basketball Magazine
Top Forty Senior Work-Out, Senior Justin Petty was also
named to the Hoosier Basketball Magazine Top Forty Senior
Work-Out and Junior Brandon Ray was named to the All
Tournament Team;
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
Representatives is directed to transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Coaches of Perry Meridian Girls and Boys
Basketball teams.
