ORDER APPROVING REVISED AND RESTATED CASELOAD ALLOCATION
The judges of the Lake Superior Court request the approval of an revised and restated caseload allocation plan pursuant to this Court’s Order for Development of Local Caseload Plans of July 16, 1999, and this Court’s July 22, 2003, Order requiring the submission of a new and revised plan. Attached to this order is the proposed local caseload plan rule, to-wit: Administrative Order Adopting the Second Revised Allocation of Judicial Resources Plan for Calendar Year 2004, signed by the Chief Judge of the Lake Superior Court on January 27, 2004, and filed with the Division of State Court Administration on April 1, 2004. This revised and restated caseload plan retains the practice of filing a reduced number of D-felony cases in the Criminal Division courts, and makes other adjustments to the Civil Division to equalize caseload among those courts.
Upon examination of the local rule, this Court finds that the revised and restated caseload plan substantially complies with this Court’s Order for Development of Local Caseload Plans, and, accordingly, should be approved.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED by this Court that the Administrative Order Adopting the Second Revised Allocation of Judicial Resources Plan for Calendar Year 2004, set forth as an attachment to this Order, is now approved, effective March 31, 2004.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED by this Court that the Chief Judge of the Superior Court report to the Division of State Court Administration on the results of this revised and restated caseload plan no later than January 20, 2005, along with any necessary adjustments to bring all divisions of the Superior Court in compliance with Court’s Order for Development of Local Caseload Plans.
The Clerk of this Court is directed to forward a copy of this Order to the Chief Judge of the Lake Superior Court, to the judges of each court of record in Lake County, and to the Clerk of the Lake Circuit and Superior Courts.
The Clerk of the Lake Circuit and Superior Courts is directed to place a copy of this Order in the Record of Judgments and Orders for each court of record in the county and to post this Order for public examination.
DONE at Indianapolis, Indiana, this _____ day of July, 2004.
