ORDER APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO
The judges of the Johnson Circuit and Superior courts request the approval of amendments to the Johnson County Local Rules. Specifically, this includes Johnson County Local Rule 2004-1, concerning assignment and random filing of criminal cases pursuant to Indiana Criminal Rule 2.2, Johnson County Local rule 2004-3, concerning the selection of special judges pursuant to Indiana Trial rule 79(H), and Johnson County Local Rule 2004-2, which amends the plan for allocation of judicial resources pursuant to this Court’s July 16, 1999 Order for Development of Local Caseload Plans, all of which are attached to this Order as exhibits.
Upon examination of the proposed amendments requested by Johnson County, and specifically the amendments to Johnson County Local Rule 2004-1, this Court finds that Johnson County Local Rule 2004-1 complies with the requirements of Indiana Criminal Rule 2.2, and, accordingly, should be approved. This Court also finds that Johnson County Local Rule 2004-3 complies with the requirements of Trial Rule 79(H), and, accordingly, should be approved. This Court further finds that Johnson County Local Rule 2004-2 projects an improvement on caseload disparity and complies with the directives of this Court’s Order for Development of Local Caseload Plans.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED by this Court that the Johnson County Local Rule 2004-1, set forth as an attachment to this Order, is now approved, effective April 21, 2004.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED by this Court that the Johnson County Local Rule 2004-3, set forth as an attachment to this Order, is no approved, effective April 21, 2004.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED by this Court that the Johnson County Local Rule 2004-2, set forth as an attachment to this Order, is now approved, effective April 21, 2004.
The Clerk of this Court is directed to forward a copy of this Order to the Honorable K. Mark Loyd, Johnson Circuit Court, to the Honorable Kevin Barton, Johnson Superior Court 1, to the Honorable Cynthia S. Emkes, Johnson Superior Court 2, to the Honorable Kim Van Valer Shilts, Johnson Superior Court 3, and to the Clerk of the Johnson Circuit and Superior Courts.
The Clerk of the Johnson Circuit and Superior Courts is directed to place a copy of this Order in the Record of Judgments and Orders for all courts of record in Johnson Coun ty and to post this Order for public examination.
