ORDER APPROVING LOCAL RULE FOR
The judges of the Fayette Circuit and Superior Courts request the approval of an amended local rule, designated as Local Criminal Rule 3, concerning criminal case assignments. Attached to this order is the proposed Local Criminal Rule 3, entered in such courts on May 1, 2003, which generally assigns felonies to the circuit court and misdemeanors to the superior court.
Upon examination of the proposed Local Criminal Rule 3, this Court finds that the proposed rule complies with Criminal Rule 2.2, and, accordingly, should be approved.
IT IS, THEREFORE, ORDERED by this Court that the proposed Local Criminal Rule 3, set forth as an attachment to this Order, is now approved, effective as of May 1, 2003.
The Clerk of this Court is directed to forward a copy of this Order to the judges of the Fayette Circuit and Superior Courts, and to the Clerk of the Fayette Circuit and Superior Courts.
The Clerk of the Fayette Circuit and Superior Courts is directed to place a copy of this Order in the Record of Judgments and Orders for each court of record in the county and is further directed to post this Order for public examination.
