Vacancy for 110th Supreme Court Justice

According to the Indiana Constitution and state statute, the seven-member Judicial Nominating Commission works to fill appellate court vacancies. On January 19, 2017, Supreme Court Justice Robert D. Rucker announced he will step down from the bench in spring 2017. The Commission will consider applicants and select the three most qualified candidates as nominees. Gov. Eric Holcomb will select Indiana's next Supreme Court justice from among the three nominees.
