Geoffrey Slaughter joins Indiana Supreme Court Monday

Attorney Geoffrey G. Slaughter will be sworn in as an Indiana Supreme Court Justice on Monday, June 13 in a brief, private ceremony. Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush will administer the oath of office, which will allow Justice Slaughter to begin deciding cases and handling administrative matters with his colleagues.

Geoffrey Slaughter named 109th Supreme Court Justice by Governor

Governor Mike Pence named Geoffrey Slaughter as the 109th Indiana Supreme Court Justice. Mr. Slaughter was one of three finalists for the position on the state's high court after the April retirement of Justice Brent E. Dickson. 30 judges and lawyers from across the state applied for the position. Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush welcomed Slaughter to the Court and said, "Geoff is respected by colleagues, clients and opposing counsel. He has earned a reputation for thoughtful analysis of complex legal issues, a concise writing style, and a courteous manner. I am pleased to welcome him to the Indiana Supreme Court."
