Digital Benchbooks

Overview

The Indiana Judicial Center and Judicial Conference Committees publish dozens of benchbooks, deskbooks, handbooks, and other manuals that are used in the every day work of judicial officers and other members of the justice community. Traditionally, these books have been printed and compiled in binders, then shipped by mail to their intended recipients. In addition, updates to the books must also be sent by mail.

In an effort to reduce costs, increase efficiency, and make the benchbooks themselves more user-friendly, JTAC is undertaking a project to provide all benchbooks and other manuals in electronic format, over the web, complete with full text search, LexisNexis citation links (to case law and statutes), printable forms, and more.

If you have any questions about this project or suggestions that will help make Digital Benchbooks the most user-friendly application it can be, please contact Lindsey Borschel at 317-234-2603 or lborschel@jtac.in.gov.
