December “Go Live” Set For First Odyssey CMS Sites
Statewide system to launch in Monroe County and Washington Township, Marion County
After months of training and regular feedback sessions with judges, clerks, court staff and other stakeholders, the Indiana Supreme Court’s Odyssey Case Management System will go live in Monroe County and Washington Township, Marion County in late December.
“Throughout the Odyssey Case Management System pilot process we have received invaluable input from people who will be front line users. Court and Clerk officials in Monroe County and Washington Township participated in Proof of Concept labs which gave us the information we need to ensure we provide a system that meets our high expectations,” said Justice Frank Sullivan Jr., Chair of the Indiana Supreme Court’s Judicial Technology and Automation Committee.
The Proof of Concept labs included training, but also ensured the Odyssey Case Management system addressed unique Indiana business processes and requirements.
With more than 1.5 million cases filed in Indiana courts each year, Hoosier law enforcement officers, lawyers, government agencies, and citizens need timely and accurate court information. The Odyssey CMS will connect courts statewide with each other and those that need court information.
The Indiana Supreme Court’s Division of State Court Administration chose Tyler Technologies Inc., to provide the CMS for Indiana following a competitive procurement process, public demonstration sessions, and the recommendation of three review committees.
Additional counties will have the Odyssey CMS installed in 2008, with a statewide rollout occurring over the next several years.
