Odyssey Case Management System
JTAC's principal and most ambitious project is to equip all Indiana courts with a 21st century case management system (CMS) and to connect the courts' systems with each other and with those who need and use court information. However, JTAC is also committed to providing Indiana courts with other technological resources that assist them in their work.
Odyssey Supervision
Odyssey Supervision, which is a separate product center within the Odyssey case management system, pulls case and financial data from the court and clerk side of Odyssey and offers probation officers and other specialty courts the capability to assess and collect program fees, record case contact notes, enter conditions of supervision, among others.
Protection Order Registry. See how electronic protection orders help law enforcement, courts, and advocates serve victims of violence.

INdiana Court Information Technology Extranet (INcite)
In addition to our primary goal of equipping Indiana with a statewide case management system (CMS), JTAC is developing several satellite applications, all of which will work in tandem with CMS. Central to this effort is the need for a standardized, secure, web-based platform—called INcite—through which Indiana court and clerk staff can access and interact with all of the applications JTAC provides.
Most of the projects below are built using the INcite Framework or are available from within INcite.
Electronic Citation and Warning System (eCWS)
In cooperation with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, the State Police, and other key state and local agencies, JTAC is creating a system in which traffic violations are entered a single time into a statewide data repository by officers in the field, who will then be able to print a uniform traffic ticket from equipment installed in their vehicles.
JTAC - BMV Partnership
Prior to this program, less than 30% of Indiana's conviction information is sent to the state Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) electronically. Mailing and faxing data is less efficient, so JTAC and the BMV partnered to help offer counties options for sending data electronically.
Electronic Tax Warrants
In cooperation with the state Department of Revenue (DOR), JTAC has worked to create a Tax Warrant interface that will allow Clerks of the Circuit Court to seamlessly process Tax Warrants electronically, reducing manual data entry, making public records easily searchable and providing accurate records in a more timely manner at no cost to counties.
Marriage License E-File System
JTAC is developing an electronic marriage license filing system that will allow Indiana Clerks of Court to process, store, and more efficiently submit license information through a secure website to the Department of Health and the State Library as required.
Jury Management System
JTAC is developing a secure, Internet-based jury management system that will integrate with the Supreme Court approved jury lists and provide free jury administration tools to any court that elects to use the system.
Statewide Jury Pool Project
In cooperation with the Judicial Conference Jury Committee—with assistance from Purdue University, the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles, and the Indiana Department of Revenue—JTAC has made available a statewide jury pool list to make compilation of jury pools simpler and more efficient.
INcite Risk Assessment Application
In partnership with the Indiana Judicial Center, JTAC developed the electronic means for scoring and storing the results compiled during specific points of the juvenile and criminal justice processes. The information gathered allows users to develop individualized case plans for offenders with the goal of reducing recidivism.
Presentence Investigation Report Application
The Judicial Conference of Indiana is charged with developing a standard Presentence Investigation (PSI) Report to be used by all courts in Indiana. The PSI Report and the associated risk assessment are intended to provide the sentencing judge with information about an offender's potential risks and needs, allowing the trial court to provide an appropriate sentence, supervision plan and treatment services.
Protection Order Registry
The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, Indiana State Police, and JTAC have partnered to create an electronic registry of protection orders to speed the processing and facilitate the communication of these important orders, helping to protect victims of violence and their families.
Mental Health Adjudication
Indiana judges and clerks now have the ability to electronically send information to the FBI about individuals who may be prohibited from possessing a firearm. JTAC developed the technology for Indiana trial courts to notify the Division of State Court Administration about individuals who are ineligible to possess a firearm.
DCS Probation System
In partnership with the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS), JTAC provides an INcite application for probation officers to assist in the determination of IV-E eligibility for federal reimbursements of costs associated with services and out-of-home placements for juveniles in delinquency cases. The changes in the law became effective January 1, 2009.
Public Defender System
In partnership with the Indiana Public Defender Council, JTAC is beginning the design and development of a statewide Public Defender system. The system will interface with the Odyssey Case Management System being deployed to Indiana trial courts and clerk’s offices throughout the state.
Indiana Courts Online Reports
Indiana courts and probation departments will soon be able to file all statistical and financial reports, as required by law, to the Division of State Court Administration through INcite, JTAC's secure extranet for court information.
Online Child Support Calculators
Through a collaborative development effort, JTAC has provided three tools for calculating child support obligations electronically.
Judicial Employee Computer Training Program
JTAC offers free computer training for all Indiana court officers and employees in Microsoft Office software products at any of Ivy Tech's 26 campuses statewide.
Premier Computer Pricing Program
JTAC offers 5-20% discounts on desktop and laptop computers and printers for your court or office. In addition, JTAC offers discounts for home computers and other electronics.
LexisNexis Online Legal Research
JTAC offers free access to the LexisNexis online legal research database for all Indiana trial court judges and clerks.
Used Computers Initiative
From time to time, JTAC acquires used computers to give to trial court offices on a first-come first-served basis at no charge.
