The Clerk's office accepts filings for the Indiana Supreme Court, the Indiana Court of Appeals, and the Indiana Tax Court.

Rotunda Filings. Filings may be made after business hours by depositing them in the Rotunda Filing Drop Box located inside the second-floor east entrance to the State House. Directions for use of the Rotunda Filing Drop Box are located at the box itself.
Hours and Holidays. The Clerk's office is open 8:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on State holidays. View a list of State holidays.
Copy Requirements. The Indiana Rules of Appellate Procedure require the following:
- For the Appellant's Case Summary, Notice of Appeal, Notice of Appearance, Motion for Extension of Time, Motion to Withdraw Record, Motion to Withdraw Appearance, or Motion to File Oversized Document, an original and one (1) copy.
- For all other motions, supporting documents and responses, an original and five (5) copies.
- For all Briefs, Additional Authorities, and Petitions for Rehearing, Transfer or Review, an original and eight (8) copies.
- For Appendices, one (1) copy.
Extra copies submitted will be filemarked and returned, provided a self-addressed envelope stamped with sufficient postage is submitted with the copies.
Formatting of filed documents. Please refer to the Indiana Rules of Appellate Procedure for specific formatting instructions.
Public Record. All documents filed in the Clerk's office are public records unless they are excluded from public access via Administrative Rule 9. Indiana law requires the Clerk's office to charge $1 per page for copies and $2 per page for faxed documents. Payment must be made advance.
Filing Fees. Upon the filing with the Clerk's office of a copy of the Notice of Appeal that was filed in the trial court, the appellant must pay a filing fee of $250. See App.R. 9. Upon the filing of a Petition to Transfer a case to the Supreme Court, or upon a filing for review of a Tax Court case by the Supreme Court, the petitioner must pay a fee of $125. The filing fee for Tax Court cases is $120.00.
