Statehood Day is held every December 11 to celebrate Indiana's acceptance as a state in the then newly-formed United States of America. The photos below feature young Hoosiers who visited Indianapolis on December 11, 2006 to commemorate Statehood Day. Governor Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. and Supreme Court Justice Brent E. Dickson presided over the ceremony.
