Justice Gregory was born February 15, 1811, in Kentucky and died January 25, 1885, in Lafayette, Indiana.300
At age two, his family moved to Indiana.301 He lived in Crawfordsville, Indiana, from 1832 to 1843, and was admitted to practice there in 1838.302
He served in the Indiana Senate from 1841 to 1843.303 In 1843, he moved to Lafayette where he practiced law the rest of his life.304 He served on the Indiana Supreme Court from January 1865 to January 3, 1871.305
