About Project Citizen

Project Citizen

Project Citizen is a program designed for middle, secondary, and post-secondary students and adult groups to promote competent and responsible participation in local and state government. Through this program students learn how to monitor and influence public policy and develop support for democratic values and principles, tolerance, and feelings of political efficacy. This is done through a five-step process of selecting a problem, conducting research, evaluating alternative solutions, selecting the best solution, and developing an action to determine who is best suited to receive the information."
