Any Indiana county--in collaboration with their local community corrections advisory board--is eligible under HEA 1006 to submit one application for grant funding from the Indiana Department of Correction (DOC) for the purpose of improving community supervision efforts.
$5 million is available for FY 2016. The funding amount will increase to $20 million in FY 2017.
The Justice Reinvestment Advisory Council will review the grant applications and make recommendations to the DOC Commissioner on how to distribute funding.
The application deadline is September 18, 2015.
