Starting a Program

There are approximately 53 Court Alcohol and Drug Programs within the state. A listing of these Programs is available from the Indiana Judicial Center. These programs are governed by statute (IC 12-23-14) and by Court Alcohol and Drug Program Rules. Adobe PDF Document

Programs may be one of three types:

  1. Free Standing (Reporting directly to the judge)
  2. Probation-based (Operated by the Probation Department)
  3. Contract (Operated by a contractor)

Certification

Court Alcohol and Drug Programs in Indiana are governed by statute (IC 12-23-14) and Judicial Conference Rules. Statutes and rules authorize the Indiana Judicial Center (IJC) to establish procedures to certify court alcohol and drug programs.
