The mission of the Commission on Race & Gender Fairness is to study the status of race and gender fairness in Indiana's justice system and investigate ways to improve race and gender fairness in the courts, legal system, and state and local government, as well as among legal service providers and public organizations.  The Commission will recommend to the Supreme Court the adoption of policies and procedures promoting race and gender fairness.

Meetings of the full Commission take place on a quarterly basis at the Division of State Court Administration, 30 South Meridian Street, Suite 500, Indianapolis.  The next meeting is set for Friday, December 2, 2016 at 12:00PM.

Court Interpreter Program

A project of the Commission, the Court Interpreter Program aims to assist with the need for interpreting for those who do not speak English or with limited understanding of English.  The program works to implement a centralized system of expert interpretation in courtrooms.
