Proposed Revisions to the Rules for Court-Administered Alcohol and Drug Programs (2015)

Proposed changes to the Rules for Court-Administered Alcohol and Drug Programs (A&D Rules) are available for public comment. The A&D Rules are approved and adopted by the Judicial Conference Board of Directors under the authority of IC 12-23-14-13. The A&D Rules provide for the standards, requirements, and procedures for Indiana Judicial Center certification of alcohol and drug services programs.

Generally, the proposed revision permits programs to offer clients substance abuse education course options in an online format. The revision also permits reducing on-line course lengths to four hours, rather than the eight hours currently required for classroom instruction. (The relevant provisions can be viewed in Section 4 and Section 31 of the A&D Rules.)
