Proposed changes to the Parenting Time Guidelines are available for review. The proposed Guidelines are organized into sections on implementing Rules, Parenting Time, Parenting Coordination, and Parallel Parenting.
The guidelines include revisions for holidays, weekends and overnights. New Parenting Coordination Guidelines include qualifications to become a parenting coordinator, the role of a parenting coordinator, handling of reports and recommendations of parenting coordinators. The Parenting Coordination portions of the Rules and Guidelines were developed jointly by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. A new Parallel Parenting Guideline and Order is included for use in high conflict cases.
The Committees will review the comments and prepare a revised draft for submission to the Supreme Court of Indiana. The Justices of the Supreme Court determine if the rules are approved.
Appellate Courts and offices are open Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm.
