PUBLIC INTEREST PAYPHONES
A Public Interest Payphone is a payphone at a location where it is needed in the interest of public health, safety and welfare, but it is not profitable for a Payphone Service Provider to maintain a phone at such location. Public Interest Payphones may only be provided at the request of or sponsorship of government entities or agencies.
