In compliance with the requirements of Senate Bill 529, the Pipeline Safety Division of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) has established this webpage which houses information about interstate pipeline construction throughout the state of Indiana.

Public Meetings

There will be three public meetings to gather input about Environmental Impact Statements.

• Monday, January 7, 2008 - 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm - Clark's Hall Reception Area, 2155 E US Highway 36, Rockville, Indiana

• Tuesday, January 8, 2008 - 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm - Greensburg Jr. High School, 505 E Central Ave, Greensburg, Indiana

• Wednesday, January 9, 2008 - 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm - Greenwood Community High School, 615 W Smith Valley Road, Greenwood, Indiana

Current Construction Projects

At this time the IURC is aware of three (3) interstate pipeline construction projects underway in Indiana. These interstate pipelines fall under the jurisdiction of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).  Below you will find links to federal information about those projects.

• Rockies Express Pipeline, LLC

  Company: Rockies Express Pipeline, LLC
  Docket No: CP07-208 (formerly PF06-30)
  The construction and operation of facilities by Rockies Express Pipeline, LLC in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. These facilities would consist of 630 miles of 42-inch-diameter natural gas pipeline and seven new compressor stations

  Panhandle Compressor Stations
  Company: Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Company

  Application to abandon compression facilities located at thirteen existing compressor station located in Kansas, Illinois, and Indiana.

  Panhandle proposes two separate projects within this certificate: Replace approximately 5.6 miles of the Montezuma 100 line with 36-inch pipeline in Parke County, and replace approximately 18 miles of the Zionsville 200 line with 30-inch pipeline in Boone and Hamilton Counties. The company states that construction will be primarily located within the existing Panhandle pipeline corridor.
