IURC's 2017 Small Utility Workshop

Morning Session (9:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., Conference Room 22)

Topics will include the following:

  • Legislation - Find out which new laws will affect how you do business, and learn about the alternative regulatory procedure.
  • Utility Managerial, Financial, and Operational Resources - Learn about various sources of information to maintain a well-run utility.
  • Small Utility Accounting - Learn helpful accounting tips.
  • Annual Reports - Learn how to complete the Commission’s annual report.

 

Lunch (11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.)

Afternoon Session (1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m., Conference Room 15)

Topics will include the following:

  • Small Utility Rate Application - Learn the rate application process, including how to complete a small utility rate application.
  • Asset Management - Learn how to better manage your plant assets.
  • Electronic Filing - Learn about the Commission’s electronic filing system.
  • Cybersecurity - Learn about the many resources your company has available to better protect against a cyberattack.
  • 30-Day Filing Process - Learn how to obtain approval for wholesale water trackers and nonrecurring charges.

*Class size is limited to 32 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
