Rule Readoption: Various Rules in 170 IAC

 

Scope of Rule

This rulemaking (RM# 16-01, LSA# 16-168) stems from Ind. Code § 4-22-2.5-2, which provides that an administrative rule expires January 1 of the seventh year after the year in which the rule took effect (unless the rule contains an earlier expiration). When rules are readopted, no language changes are made to the rule.

 

The rulemaking regards the readoption of three rules scheduled to sunset or expire on Jan. 1, 2017. Specifically, these include:

  1. 170 IAC 7: Telephone Utilities
  2. 170 IAC 15: Landlord Distributing Water or Sewer Disposal Service
  3. 170 IAC 16: Customer Complaints

Next Steps

The final rule was approved by the Commission on July 6, 2016, and was filed with the Indiana Register on July 11, 2016. The rule takes effect 30 days after filing with the Indiana Register.
