Scope of Rule

This rulemaking (RM# 13-03, LSA# 13-227) stems from Ind. Code § 4-22-2.5-2, which provides that an administrative rule expires January 1 of the seventh year after the year in which the rule took effect (unless the rule contains an earlier expiration). When rules are readopted, no language changes are made to the rule.

The subject matter of this rulemaking is the readoption of various electricity, water, sewer, and natural gas rules. Additionally, this rulemaking readopts general provisions found in 170 IAC 8.6-1.

Next Steps

The final rule was approved by the IURC on July 31, 2013 and was filed with the Indiana Register on August 2, 2013. The rule will took effect 30 days after filing with the Indiana Register.
