Video Services Division
The IURC Communications Division’s primary responsibility is to give technical advice to the Commission and legislature regarding numerous state video service issues including, but not limited to, the following:
- Certificates of franchise authority (“CFA”)
- Statutory reporting requirements
- FCC customer service standards
- Public, educational and governmental (“PEG”) channel issues
- February 17, 2009 Digital TV Transition
Since the enactment of HEA 1279, in March 2006, the Communications Division monitors the status of competition and technological change in the provision of video service to Indiana customers.
Notice of Proposed Rulemaking #09-09
The Communications Division has submitted this proposed rulemaking to replace the current telecommunications rules located at 170 IAC 7.
